About Pittsburgh Barbecue Company

Let me introduce you to Pittsburgh Barbecue Company, a laid-back barbecue restaurant that locals talk about when they want real comfort food without the fuss. Sitting right at 1000 Banksville Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, United States, this spot feels welcoming the moment you pull up, and it quickly sets the tone for a relaxed, flavor-first experience. The vibe leans classic barbecue, but it’s approachable and friendly, making it easy to stop in for a casual lunch or swing by with friends after a long day. One thing people appreciate right away is the flexibility, because Pittsburgh Barbecue Company offers outdoor seating for those sunny Pittsburgh afternoons, along with on-site services if you want to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. On busier days, takeaway options make it simple to grab your food and keep moving without missing out on the good stuff. The menu focuses on comfort food that hits the spot, the kind of meals that feel familiar yet satisfying, especially when you’re craving something hearty and filling. Everything here is about keeping it simple and doing it well, which is why the place feels so easygoing and authentic. As someone introducing the restaurant, I always describe it as the kind of neighborhood barbecue joint where you can relax, eat well, and not overthink the experience. Whether you’re a Pittsburgh local or just passing through the area, Pittsburgh Barbecue Company fits naturally into the city’s food scene by offering straightforward barbecue flavors, a comfortable setting, and service options that match different moods and schedules, all while staying true to what a good barbecue restaurant should be. I also like to mention how easy it is to make this place part of your routine, because the location is straightforward, the atmosphere stays unpretentious, and the focus remains on comfort food that satisfies without trying too hard, which keeps people coming back whenever barbecue cravings show up.

This place is a little hidden gem of BBQ goodness. I got the pulled pork, potato salad, and cornbread. Literally amazing. The potato salad was a great cool contrast to the heavy sandwich and rich cornbread. Legitimately, the corn bread was like half a pound and you could feel all the butter it in. It was super moist, filled with real corn, and a great addition to the meal. The spicy sauce was good, not extremely spicy but made the pulled pork not dry. It was messy, saucy, and served by smiling faces. I was literally stuffed walking out, so you can be sure that you’re getting your money’s worth. Great food, service, and should be better known. It’s a little hard to find, but don’t miss out!

The food was decent and the service was great! The brisket was really good. The greens were a bit salty and the pork was on the dry side but had a solid flavor.

Stopped by on a trip from Michigan to harrisburg. When I tell you it was worth the traffic to stop and sit for a good meal, that is an under statement. The food was amazing. Had brisket, pulled pork and the ribs. All were awesome. The sides (mac and cheese, baked beans, greens and corn bread) all complimented the meat well. Everything was amazing. Stop by and check them out if you're in the area

I stopped by on the way to a concert in New Kensington. It's a little tricky to find if you're not from the area since it sits on a small service road that you might miss. The brisket chili was great and the cornbread was probably the best that I've ever had. I'll definitely stop in again if I'm near Pittsburgh.

Fantastic brisket and the boys loved the Mac and cheese! We could smell it all night at the hotel and we had to try it before we went home. A definite must try! The house bbq sauce is on point and we will be bringing some north of the border.
